Intraoral camera

Many patients, especially younger patients, are very familiar with the latest technology and are more comfortable with a high-tech practice. Computers and TV screens are their primary method of information processing.

At Dental Euroclinic we utilize intraoral camera technology that helps enhance your understanding of your diagnosis.  An intraoral camera is a very small camera. In some cases, an intraoral camera is just a few millimeters long.  An intraoral camera allows our practice to view clear, precise images of your mouth, teeth, and gums, in order for us to accurately make a diagnosis.  With clear, defined, enlarged images, you see details that may be missed by standard mirror examinations. This can mean faster diagnosis with less chair-time for you!

Intra-oral cameras also enable our practice to save your images in our office computer to provide a permanent record of treatments. These treatments can be printed for you, other specialists, and your lab or insurance companies. We utilize several areas of high technology to help us treat our patients. Our intraoral camera setup can help us by taking high quality photos of the surfaces of teeth. We view these images on the patient's television monitors present in each room to help show patients the problems present in that specific tooth.

With regard to depth of field and image quality, our  intraoral camera meets the highest requirements for fully digital image transmission. This allows us to examine the tooth in an enlarged image, helping to locate cracks and identify other areas of damage in a tooth.

Digital caries detection

In addition to normal tooth pictures, Dental Euroclinic is equipped with the latest technology of software analysis for the detection of caries lesions and visualisation of plaque by means of fluorescencethe.

Our imaging software applies caries and plaque filters and reveals caries activity using a colour scale with a numerical evaluation of between 0 and 3. This makes the system ideal for the early detection of caries and the visualization of plaque.
